Signs of Spring

"Deep sleep the winter,
Cold wet and grey;

Surely all the world is dead;
Spring is far away

Wait the world is waken;
It is not dead, for lo,
The Fair Maids of February
Stand in the snow!"
"Crocus of yellow, new and gay;
Mauve and purple, in brave array;
Crocus white
Like a cup of light,--
Hundreds of them are smiling up,
Each with a flame in its shining cup,
By the touch of the warm and welcome sun
Opened suddenly. Spring's begun!
Dance then, fairies, for joy, and sing
The song of the coming again of Spring."

Disney on Ice "Worlds of Fantasy" in Swedish

Hi everyone! We had decided that instead of buying each other a lot of gifts for Christmas this year to do something fun together! So on January 4, 2014 we went to see Disney on Ice "Worlds of Fantasy" at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden!
It was a wonderful evening and we had hoped to make the video above more of a vlog but we realized afterward that our camera doesn't pick up our voices so well, so we just turned this into a normal video of footage from Disney on Ice! We hope you enjoy this video anyways (even if for the fact that you get to hear what some Disney characters/songs sound like in Swedish!).
Speaking of which, beforehand we were not sure if the performance would be in English or in Swedish since it is a travelling tour group, but they must have different tracks with all the different languages of the countries they will be in and it is quite fascinating that the skaters are all exactly on point anyways; truly talented performers!
The show started out with the classic 4 introducing the show; Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy!
Followed by a really cool segment of Cars, we still are not sure how they the cars were operated and drove on the ice, amazing!
Next was the most beautiful performance on ice of The Little Mermaid. For some reason, it was especially captivating because it is so much easier to imagine that you are really under water during "Under The Sea" because of the all the fluid like motions of the ice skating!
Then there was Tinker Bell! To be honest, it was only the night before that we watched this movie and it is so good that we did because they stick very closely to the story and it was so cool to see how they adapted Pixie Hollow to the ice!
Lastly, Toy Story 3 got a very long portion of the show which was unexpected but definitely not unpleasant! Seeing the green soldier men doing military dances on ice was delightful but who really stole the show was Barbie and Ken! We could not stop laughing at how truly doll like they looked and moved! Ken is one classy fella, just saying!
It was really nice to have this Christmas present date together as a wonderful memory to cherish instead of material gifts since we both did not really know what we wanted this year, so this evening together was perfect!
It is always fun to go get dressed up nice and go to a performance and dinner.
We are huge Disney fans and so being at Disney on Ice was like tiny taste of heaven and gave us those happy Disneyland feelings we miss very much!
