"Spring is the time of year when it is summer in the sun and winter in the shade"
-Charles Dickens (Great Expectations)
Last week we celebrated St. Patrick's Day and the Spring Equinox! There was also unusual Northern Light activity south of the Arctic circle, a super moon, and solar eclipse (though we didn't get to see them because of cloud coverage).
With all these natural wonders and holidays to celebrate and Easter on the way, we couldn't help but be inspired to do a photo set with all these things in mind. With a basket of painted eggs, brightly colored feathers, and spring colored candles we ventured into the spring woods and found a lovely location with mossy rocks and logs, birds chirping high above, and a trickling stream.
Though the forests aren't green yet there is a sense in the stillness that spring is awakening. We are headed to brighter and warmer days and that truly is something to celebrate.
